Nice. Those monitors look like the business.  Also, old vinyl porn, tough to beat. Liking the look of the big drum pad sample triggers too....i've been toying with the idea of investing in a full on midi electronic drum kit. Though I'm poor plus not a drummer so this is on the back burner ha..

I'm using Ableton with a bunch of virtual instruments (komplete  8 namely) and plugins. Got 2 KRK 6's for monitoring, an APC40 for controlling ableton and a basic midi keyboard for playing in the actual music.

Don't use samples - though I try to get that "feel" now and then by creating short loops of real sounding instruments and effecting them etc.

  5. Yeah I love that roland sp pad I midi it into my mpc and ableton for a live feel. I love ableton have been using it since version 5 and it has changed my production so much. A cheap starter midi drum kit like the alesis pads would only set you back about 100 they just dont have the built in kit or effects my roland pad does but with midi who needs them anyway you know. The vinyl acually takes up 2 walls and about 8 shelfs I have been digging for about 15 years and like you said who doant love vinyl.

  6.
Yeah - I don't need the built in sounds anyway. I like the idea of being able to link it up to a dedicated drum plugin within live and recording the midi in.

Was speaking to my friend about it, maybe get him up on the drums for some human grooves!

  7. I just looked on ebay search midi drum pad and theres some for as cheap as 80 bucks a roldand spd6 the old model is on there cheap atm.
