I was sitting in a room with 3 people who saw the movie "A boy and his dog" and they kept talking about how fucking awesome and crazy the ending was, and they demanded i not watch the ending on youtube, so i watched the movie. The ending was really not crazy at all. i mean, i guess it was un expected, but the way the hyped it up had me expecting so much more. Thats when i realized, hype determines the viewpoint people will have on that movie. If people really liked it, and talk about it non stop, it could be a pretty good movie but if it doesnt meet your expectations it is a big let down. Same thing goes with movies that go under the radar and end up being REALLY good, thats always awesome though. Share any experience you have about movies and their hype, and what you thought about that movie pertaining to what you expected.
