I grew a plant under mosquito netting for the same reason - assuming they are getting a fair share of direct sunlight, they will grow fine.
any shade ...ANY reduces the ability of the plant to photosynisis use neem oil good for molds and bugs and check daily award yourself for each robber found ...lol
Mosquito netting will hardly make a difference. If you have enough netting to cover your plants without impeding their growth, rock it.
