A neem product will probably turn them away. I am starting to like the idea of a top layer dress of neem seed meal at early stages.
Mixed directly into your soil mix will also work great Dabs. I use between a half cup and a full cup per cubic foot/7.5 gallons of soil. It's a great fertilizer as well as a pesticide. J
