I have a couple sprouts in miracle grow with time release ferts. I've seen enough horror pics to want to transplant. What would be the best way to go about transplanting them into organic soil and when?
I'd suggest running up to your local Hydro store and grabbing a bag of Fox Farms Ocean Forest. It had tons of nutes to last for a few weeks (3-4 from what I've experienced) and it keeps your plants incredibly happy. I don't know if this is common with FFOF or if it was just the strain I was growing but the first thing that showed when I was using this soil was a Potassium deficiency. Fixed quickly, though and everything's been smooth sailing since then. Even on into flowering.
I used miracle grow organic aswell and those sprouts came up. I was just told to pull them out by the roots quickly. They'll stop eventually. Hasn't harmed my plants. They are doing just wonderfully. (I wish I could get FFOF but the nearest place to buy it is 67 miles away.)
