  1. You honestly think like this?

That they would have a squad, and that that would be considered a big bust?

  2. if he buys your computer he is then "receiving stolen property" and that is a crime too. so why would he give a fuck. hes trying to get a deal on a cpu. if hes a cop in a small town he prob doesnt make shit for money anyway so who would care.

  3. I think you'll be alright... Should format the drive anyways

  4. haha nbd dude. your parinoid about it. im pretty sure you can delete all your torrenting stuff and leave the rest of the useful software for him. p.s. dont forget to delete the pr0n!!!

  5. I don't think local police officers, who aren't even from your town care if you are torrenting. Hell, they probably do it themselves.

You're being paranoid, but it'll be okay. :smoke:

  7. though he won't do anything (unless hes bored) It's never a good idea to tell a COP you pirate software

    yea.. bad! :D

  8. I know a dude who's a prison guard by day, but hangs out with ex cons on the weekends. Everyone has a life outside of work. Don't trip.

  9. he probably thought you meant porn or something.. awkward

  10. He seemed like a nice guy from the way you described him, don't let the fact that he's a cop throw you off. Judge him via character and you should have your answer.

  11. Cops don't go around busting people who torrent.
MAYBE, if someone claims to have copyrighted things pirated, but maybe.

Shit, I bet you there are tons of cops that torrent.

  12. He isn't going to bust you. Cops are people too and they do illegal shit just like everyone else. I know a few cops who do all kinds of drugs and download movies and shit. They aren't as clean as people think.

BTW. This isn't true. They are allowed to lie to make a bust. Don't you think they get asked at some point when going undercover with drug dealing they get asked this?

  13. *kicks in the door* GET ON THE GROUND MOTHER FUCKER WE HEARD YOU TORRENTED A WHOLE SONG, YOU'RE GOING TO JAIL FOR LIFE!! I HOPE YOU LIKE COCKMEAT SANDWICHES WITH EXTRA MAYO!

  14. If you aren't making money off of something generally it is ok to have. If you aren't burning bootleg dvds and selling them then what does he care?

In fact I know the wife of a detective. She downloads from torrents all the time. It isn't right but nobody gives a shit. The only people really being targeted are big time torrent hosts and people profiting from torrents. Not some nobody (no offense) downloading a pirated copy of a game/movie/software.

  15. You'll be fine, don't worry he probably wants to download things anyways. :p

  16. Don't use a mac...

No seriously, don't worry about it. He is a small town cop, he's not going to call the FBI on you for it.
I'm sure he is fine with it, why the hell would he make a fuss about it when he doesn't have to pay for all of the software when purchasing a computer. Right? You're fine. :)

    ps. don't use a mac.

  17. Pack your gat and keep your eye out the window.

  18. Exactly, first of all if he's an older cop (no offense to any older adults) he might not even understand that you torrented the software. Hell, I'm sure he wants to pay 1000's for programs just as much as you do.

I would sell him the computer without wiping it since you already said there would be programs coming with it, just make sure you delete any personal photo's, videos, files, etc. that you wouldn't want anyone seeing.

  19. lol this

  20. Are you guys really acting like this is nothing to be concerned about?

You can't tell me that this small town cop isn't looking for his big break. While he does his best to keep his town protected, he can't help but think there is a bigger, more advanced plot hidden behind the eyes of the "Big Wigs" at the top of evil corporations. It's up to this small town cop and no one else to serve justice to not only his small town, but throughout the entire state and hopefully the nation.

This man... this man is determined. If I were you, I would delete everything NOW.
