microscopic pests eating trichomes?

  1. Larval stage of some kind of flyin' critter? Do you have any other kinds of bugs in your grow? Indoor or outdoor?

I just looked in one of my gardening books. Looks very much like the larval stage of the thrip. Do a little research before you start loading up your plants with "critter killer".
I'm indoor and don't have bug problems. Maybe you can find some help here...

  2. I was guessing larvae stage of thrips from what I saw too.

It's 16f out currently and dropping, so I got a window open in my grow room. =) 65 and falling. My redneck thinks maybe a chilly ass night with a possible light frost may kill em off. My 600w hps and fans blowing should keep the frost off the plants. But get a below 32 air temp for an hour or so should help to temporarily de populate them.

  3. mos',

Watch that room temp'! Don't forget, you've got roots to think about too. If you're in pots, I'd wrap 'em in a blanky.

So no adult flyin' critters? It seems strange that a larval stage "whatever-it-is" is around without any adults. Have you given your plants a good shake to see if maybe they're hiding where you can't see them?

  4. I seen maybe a dozen little tiny black flies in a small pile of leaves in the corner of my tent. I took them out and have yet to see any flyers.... 60 currently.
