There's no second hand dangers, just a little smell of weed. Nothing terrible, and certainly confined to a room. Mflb is a decent vape and is very portable, and can be had for 100. Ssv is a great vape, less portable, and can be had for 200. Log vapes are often inbetween those prices, and plug in while being a bit more portable. I think any of them would be a great investment. But keep in mind I usually use my ssv in my room, and even standing directly outside my room, neither my roommates nor I could smell a thing.
