Hey, I think you'll be okay. I used some really old ass batteries when I first got mine. I would discard the ones you have and get some new ones, like the powerex 2700 ones which work way better than the stock ones. I believe they are like...$13 for a pack on Amazon. Or you can do yourself a HUGE favor and invest in the power adapter for the MFLB, which eliminates the use of batteries.
