Hello there, I just got my medical marijuana card so I'm new to this, I apologize if this is a stupid question. How much do dispensaries charge in tax? (San Diego, CA) for example if i buy something worth $40 how much should I expect the total to be? Sorry for the dumb question, Thanks in advance.

I haven't had my card for a couple of years, but when I went, it was incorporated in the price for everything you paid. So the eighth was $55 including tax, the brownie was $10 including tax, etc. Just made everything simpler. I'd be surprised if they had changed it.
medical dispensaries operate on the co-op scale, for the most part. This means everything you spend is a charitable donation, and therefore no sales taxes are included.
So disregard my opinion, I'd guess these people know what their talking about better, I was just guessing
