  1. looks awesome!! what did the set up run you, hows the smell control been outside the grow room.I want to do something like you have going on but it can not smell AT ALL!! For now im going to try outdoors with cfl suplemental lighting to give them a total of at least 18 hr light perferably 20 hr.have you been feeding the full strenth or 1/2 as i here they dont need much. That widow looks so sick!!congrats!!

  2. One more thing...in the close up of the leaf in the last set of pic's it looks like your starting to get just a little bit of magnesium deficancy by the yellowing in the viens. Cal-mag, 2tbs/gal molasses every watering or epsom salt will fix this. Being its an auto use less.
Just an obsevation but other than that it look steller! Great job!

  3. Yo thanks for the kind words, vaperman!

To be honest man I havn't been keeping track. Some of my stuff I made my self over 2 years ago. I can tell you I got my light setup for $50 plus $100 for the hood and the tent was $100. I got the nutes for free from sweet deal I got at a festival. The seeds ran me around $50. Electricity is somewhere between $40 and $80 a month to run it all. There have been plenty of misc. expenses in between you can be sure of that. Check around on your local craigslist or hit up ebay. You can out something together that will do the trick and get you started for pretty cheap if you only plan on running a few plants.

As far as odor goes...this time around I notice some smell in my basement but nothing in the main floor of the house or anywhere else. I guess for me thats ok. I would suggest investing in a very nice carbon filter and fan setup if you want it to smell like nothing at all as well as looking into low odor strains.

You gonna run cfl outside? Gimmie a little more info on that? I can't see how that would work unless they were in some kind of green house.

My feeding schedule is laid out pretty good in my thread but a basic summary would be: No food for first 3 weeks. 1/4 strength feeding every other watering for next week or two. Bump to 1/2 strength same schedule. Bump to full strength same watering schedule. Heavy flush @ start of last two weeks and keep flushing till leaves don't taste bitter and wait for trichs to start turning amber.

Hope this helps. Thanks again for checking out my ladies!!!

  4. Big Ole Bump!!!

  5. Thanks for the help man. Much appreciated. On that note I did a bit more searching and found this chart. I've seen it many times before but it's always helpful to look again.

Based on this, and my pH being on the low side, I think you are right on. I think I probably have a cal-mag def and possibly a Phosphorous def as well. I don't think the problem is the amount of nutrients but that the nutes are being slightly locked out. I'll see if I can get my pH up this week and get things on track. If not I still think they are on track to finish with a bang!!!

Thanks again for the help bro! Please pull up a seat and stick around for the upcoming harvest!

  6. Dude ..my pleasure ! And ill be sure to stick around. Believe we can both gain on our shared experiences with these autos or just growing in general. As far as the cfls go im going to grow them for 2 weeks in doors giving them 20 Hr of light i then will harden them off to the outdoors while giving the difference in light (as far as hours go) with the cfls. heres the thing i would grow them just indoors but i cant due to the smell when in full flower so i figured i would try it this way as i can have them in the house for a few hours(or even in a constructed box outside as im very handy with building things).Im currently building a 16'x24' barn with a loft full wired. The loft is mine!! the lower part will have our lawn equipment ect ect.. (made that clear to the wife already ;) lol!!)Its then that the fun really starts!! heres my order for this year. The photo sensitive strains i will also veg indoor..take clones and plant outside in june.

  7. Oh and dude even if the mag thang lingers .... That crop is still gona be fantastic !!! But thats the way we roll...always striving for perfection ;)

  8. Looks like a mag defeciency... Looks dank as hell tho! Great job! Surprising from a 400!

  9. Looking nice man. Nice and frosty like a new blanket of snow.

    Keep it up :smoke:

  10. Looks pretty darn good Freezie McGee

I wouldn't add any cal-mag or any suppliments at all for that matter until your runoff ph is 6.5-6.8. Less is more In my experience.

A good solid flush with 6.8 water then a rewater with full nutrient solution should put them right where you want them. Should clear them up in 7 days or so. The leaves wont change back to green but you'll certainly have larger buds and no more new unwanted colors. lol

How tall is your plant? Looks about 20''. Mine are 26 and still going o_O

Looks like you were right about hydro taking longer in this case, I'm lookin at a harvest of day 85 assuming nothing goes wrong

  11. update???

  12. I second that.

    I just did one :p

  13. Hey everyone!:wave::wave: Hope all is well and your gardens are all very green and dank!:D:smoke::D

Thanks man! I appreciate the input and your kind words. I'm kinda blown away by the results too. I have the light pretty close to the plants so they are getting good light penetration. I guess thats one benefit of growing 3 plants in a 2x4 footprint tent under HPS.

Oh yeah baby! Let those precious crystals keep piling up!!! This is one snow storm I definitely won't mind cleaning up from!

Thanks again for the help man. Very reassuring. Check out the update for details about how this is panning out.

All 3 plants are about the same height but the tallest one tops out at a meager 16"!!! I feel like this is a lot shorter than any of the plants last harvest but they are wayyyy fatter so I think I'll still pull down a bigger harvest!!!:D:p

At this rate I'm looking at harvesting around 85-87 days my self. I will start to keep an eye on trichs this week and check em every day or so until the end.

Alright guys...before I get beaten with an angry stick:bolt::devious::poke::devious:...:hide:

    Update Time!!!

Ok so the plants are 57 days old today. The buds are really stacking and filling in nicely. Hairs are turning orange but more white hairs are still popping out like crazy so I think they still need another few weeks.

I put 3 gallons of 7.0pH R.O. water through each plant tonight. It looks like the pH of all three plants is around 6.4 right now so they should be good to finish up real strong!

I think I'm going to keep flushing one of the plants and chop it in about two weeks. The other two plants will be fed one full strength feeding in a couple days and start their flush next monday. That will give them 3 more weeks until harvest.

The cal/mag deficiency seems to only be affecting one plant and it isn't spreading to quickly so I think I'll be ok. The most important thing is I know what to look for in the future so it's been a valuable lesson for sure.

The other two plants have some weird leaf issues too but again, they aren't that bad and we are really close now so I think its gonna be alright.;):)

I promised pics so I got a few to share. Sorry they aren't that great. I'm exhausted right now. I'll try and get some better pics this week and post some sick macros from a tripod if I can get em.

Thanks for checking out my grow GC! :gc_rocks:
