"This effort to end tourist cannabis sales is just a small part of the cleanup plan for the streets of Amsterdam. Changes taking effect April 2020 include the moving of the open window sex worker industry to a new indoor facility. The attempt to end tourist gawkers clogging up the streets and bring sex workers inside emphasizes representatives’ dedication to the local residents."

I had no idea they had an open window sex worker industry.

IMO their cannabis "problem" isn't a problem, it's millions of tourist dollars pumped into their local economy every year. The same cannot be said about the city's heroin or meth etc problems, and I think these latter drugs cause most issues for local residents, not cannabis.

  2. The "problem" comes when the big money starts crying. they know there is no criminalizing the substance there again, so they just push back to satisfy the big money / elites instead of it becoming a cultural foundation.

Cannabis is a foundation of a normal society.
