Making weed butter from ounce of bud/shake need tips

    My bud picked up an ounce of stems/leaves for like 10$

    all the recipies ive seen to make butter from shake say to grind it into powder first, which i can not do. They also say to simmer in a crock pot for 24 hours, also a no-no.

    Would i be alright to just mix the ounce with a stick or two of butter in a double boiler?
    And cook for a couple hours?
