making my own soil????

    Thinking about composting and making my own soil. any thoughts?

    Can't see why not. Once it's done might want to add sand/vermiculite and then pH test it, and use sulphur/lime to bring it to the right level if it's off. Should be a fair bit cheaper than buying it.

    think about this. the buds we smoke are the plants vag. ( sexual organ)

    Use peat and perlite as bases: those two are necessary (they are not food). Compost takes a year to be good. For food, you can use (your choice) kelp K, bone meal (P), blood meal (N), guano (P and N), green fert (NPK)s, all purpose dry slow release ferts (NPK), worm castings (N), horse shit (N), chicken shit (NPK), ashes (K)... For proportions it's about 1/3 food to the total volume. I add all the food in the soil and just use plain water (no liquid ferts).
