I heard tht if u put a ziplock bag over the pot with wholes for ventelation tht it will make it sprout faster, is tht true has anyone tried it and wat happened?
It's probably not quite the same thing but after germinating seeds, I plant them in cups of seed starter soil covered in plastic wrap with a couple holes punched in for air. The plastic keeps the humidity up until the seed is strong enough to deal with less than ideal environmental conditions on its own. Any sort of humidity chamber or humidifier can accomplish the same thing.
A lot of people do it, one of my friends does it, but I never have and see no reason to ever start. I have no problems with my seedlings surviving and thriving. Think about it, seedlings in nature come out of the ground and are exposed to direct sunlight and the natural elements, and they survive just fine. So I see no reason to baby them.
