So my friend and I are growing in his closet...... We already tried making a hole at the top of his closet for the fan... but the method of using a hammer and smashing out a spot that sounded hollow wasn't the best idea and there was a pipe in the way (his wall already had a bunch of holes in it but the highest one was only 4 feet) We've already bought this fan http://continentalfan.com/axc2.htm and it wouldn't make sense to mount it 4 feet above the ground, even if we could mount it high and run a hose down to the hole it would get in the way of the light. As you can tell I'm an amateur, if none of you guys have a better idea for making a hole I'm gonna assume my hammer method was good. Peace
Wel if it is wood, or wood with veneer.... You should have marked off the space needed to be cut. Use a drill to start a hole, then use a jig saw to cut out the round or square you needed. No need to use a hammer.
same method works for both. As for putting it in you ceiling, do it from above to keep from ruuning ino things, also if the room/space has a ceiling light remove it and use that hole.
