I found these growing out growing on the sie of my house. The sun will get to the at around 11:30 or so. The grass is constantly water, even in the early morning before dawn. I have heard that in order to see if these are majic mushrooms, pinch the stem and it should turn blue. I did so, and they spueezed out a bit of water which seemed normal, and they turned a light brownish? Either way, here are some pictures.
Thank you, that cleared that up completely . Hey, if you don't mind me asking, what part of Oregon do you live in?
Enjoy the mushroom hunting! If you're in OR you better start scoping out some good beds now, and wait for late oct-early nov to pick. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psilocybe_cyanescens http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psilocybe_semilanceata Those are the two easiest to hunt for in our area
