Lucas Formula - Seedlings - How much ppm?

Discussion in 'Hydroponic Growing' started by bio1, Oct 12, 2011.

  1. hi there,

i germinated my seeds few days ago and they are in rockwoolcubes now, which i put into my bubble bucket.

now they are starting to reach to the light and i think they will drope their seed shell today.

now how much ppm should i set the solution to? i'm using almost r0 water with like ~20ppm.

    regards~

  2. 50-100 for a seedling.

    damn :S

they are at day 3 now with 250ppm & 5.8, lets hope this will go just fine :/ first roots start to hang out of the netpott

//ok dropped it to 200 now, ph still being 5.8

  4. Seedlings don't need food, period.
Wait until you see the first set of true leaves, which are fan leaves, not the little single ones.
I myself wait for the second set of true leaves before starting any feed, I start feeding at 250 to 300 ppms for the first couple weeks, then raise it to 600 to 750 for the rest of the veg life.

  5. What he said:

I actually wait until the third set of true leaves, or until the Cotyledons start to die off.

  6. Is that at .5 or .7
