Looking to spend $25k-30k on sport car, suggestions?

  1. Hello all! It's time for a new ride (currently with a 1jz s13) and I want something a little more luxury but faster/better than my ride now. I am a drift head so this is my main type of target going on here, but I am open to anything!

I'm thinking maybe even keep my s13 as my daily driver and spend $23k on a project rally car, I currently live in AZ at the moment and there is tons of tracks/events that go on, so this might give you a idea as well.

Any suggestions? I have a few in mind, just felt like asking some blades before! :)

  2. What do you think about Hyundai Genesis?

  3. subaru

  7. bad advice!

  8. ??

What do you thik about spending that on a used bmw?

  9. 500$ Ford Capri, various hockey gear and bike helmets, and about 5K worth of weed. Trust me, you'll have way more fun.

  10. u guys he wants to build a rally/rallyx car i presume?

I know a DSM (1990 awd, 2 grand for a rolling chasis) with the rally coilovers (set up runs about 4grand)

have it rebuilt with a new turbo (evoIII 16g would be great for a fast spool), a full exhaust or an 02 dump prefered, new fuel system, and possibly an intercooler upgrade, and you have a great awd car on your hands.

people have been doin it for a long time and its a proven platform, but it really takes a rolling chasis up build to do it right. I am sure you could have some1 custom build one to, but then it would probably be out of the price range.

28k could get you a twin turbo 1993-1998 Toyota Supra with plenty of bolt ons.

You have experience with the 1jz, you'll love the 2jz

  13. I'm good on the newer mustangs/350z and not so much for a BMW. Although, I've been thinking about getting a subaru, but those DSM builds are looking pretty gnarly!

I've also always had a eye for the supra, but I think I may want it another day in my life! :D

Thank you all for suggestions, keep em' coming if possible! :)

  14. Get a used '97- '04 Vette. You can find one with full bolt ons, head and cam work for less than $30k. Great handling, good gas mileage, plus they can run 11's all day with the aforementioned modifications. Hell, at $30k, you can probably find one with a power adder. Check out the classified section of LS1tech.com. You can find a 10 second monster WS6 Trans Am for that price too.

  15. Damn that is quick! And yeah, they get amazing gas mileage for a huge displacement v8

  16. Ever consider a GTI? I'm not a fan of V-Dubs but just look at it:

Other than the ugly VW badge, this thing is downright sexy. Interior is luxurious, and if Top Gear is to be believed... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7c0NzOWb23w"]...it's an absolute thrill to drive[/ame] (and this is the review for the old GTI!). Turbocharged engine, 6-speed manual transmission, premium sound with DVD-in-dash standard, leather seats, sexiest stock rims I've ever seen on a car. I mean, what's not to love?

  17. Challenger FTW

  18. glad to see you are doin well and have well more than enough to spend it on shits.

  19. I second that. Black ofc.
