Looking to get some macro filters for my Canon 30D...

  1. So I've been into photography for a little over a year now, and like a fucking noob I just found out about macro filters. I've been wanting to do macros, but I just dont have the lenses for it. Today I stumbled across these on Amazon --> Amazon.com: Digital Concepts +1 +2 +4 +10 Close-Up Macro Filter Set with Pouch (67mm): Electronics

Not too bad for $20. Also found this set for $10 --> Amazon.com: 67MM MACRO CLOSE UP LENS SET 4 Filter Kit +1+2+4+10: Electronics

So you guys think I'd be fine with either of those for taking macro shots of bud/bowls/shit like that?

You get what you pay for with Filters. I would save up and get high quality filters, you really do get what you pay for in a filter.

What you linked is low quality cheap glass. If you want to get some nice macros of bud invest in a macro lens and skip the cheap filters. You could get a good prime macro

179 bucks for a decent macro lens isn't bad at all.
