Hello, fellow blades. I'm looking to grab a portable vape sometime soon. I already sorta am set on the PAX, but first I would like to hear all your suggestions and see if there's anything better out there. I know a few things about vapes, but not everything.
I'm looking to grab something that actually vapes the herb, not just combusts it. It's gotta be portable, and small enough to easily move around with it. Like how the PAX can easily just slip into your pocket. It's gotta be a good product too, as in the battery's gotta be good, it's durable, and so on. I don't mind if it smells a bit, like a bowl, but the less smell, the better.
    Overall, I'm looking for this:
    -Actually vapes, no combustion
-Just gonna use dry herb or keif/hash
    -Good product
    -Durable
    -Small/Very Portable
    -Good battery
-Don't mind smell, but less is better
    -A decent sized oven chamber
-Taste? Would love to be able to taste bud, but that's just a plus.
-And any other things you guys may suggest I look into

I am only gonna use it for dry herb or hash/keif. I'm hoping that it'll also be simple to use and maintain, but I don't mind some cleaning every now and then. I'm not looking to grab the Magic Flight box, so that's out.
My price range is up to $200, but that's the max. I'd prefer to spend less, but if needed, I'll do it. I looked into the Airizer Solo, and I wanted that over the PAX, but it's too big to fit in my pockets or easily conceal it on the go.
Also, I'd prefer to hear about something that you have personal experience with. Or something that you'd wish to have now. But really, any real help/suggestions are appreciated. And that's that. Thanks for your help guys.

  2. Arizer Air is about 200 it's more portable than the Solo.

Alfa by Goboof is 200 and is ridiculously small and lots of people say it's a better vape than the Pax too.

Look on the FC forums there is sooo much info about each portable vaporizer.

This idiot is a shill.   He already got warned by the mods once for posting up his link (which is nothing more than a shilled link for VaporNation), in his previous post.

No doubt he will shortly be banned.

Grenks above, however gave some good advice.    You can get the Arizer Air now for 169.   Great deal.

  4. I agree on the Arizer Air recommendation.

Several hints to help you save $$

First, if you are in the USA you can buy from a Canadian website (planetvape and Torontovaporizer are 2). Currently the U.S. Dollar is stronger than the Canadian dollar so you save about 20% on the currency exchange.

Also, sometimes vendors offer deals on FC in the sponsors area. I got a deal on a new Arizer air with an extra battery and free shipping for what came out to about $158 USA after the currency conversion.

Hey guys, thanks for all your input, it helped a lot. I really wanted the Solo, but it just wasn't portable enough, but thank you Grenks for letting me know about the Air.
I did some tedious research, and have decided to go with the Air, if I can get it within my budget. Just got a question, does it smell? I'm hoping to be able to use it in my room without anyone smelling it, but if it does then oh well, no biggie.
And thank you, Sickmanfraud for suggesting codes. I looked up discount codes for any vape sites, and stumbled upon the online store, Planet of the Vapes.
Now, I feel like this is too good to be true, that I might get some China plastic. Okay, so here's the thing, Planet of the Vapes has the Air up for $250, but with the coupon code, $70 are taken off on the spot, bringing it down to $179. They also have free shipping, and gift a free 4 pc. grinder and a tight seal container for your dank.
Do any of you know if this is a good, well trusted store? It's a lot cheaper than the original price, and other stores. Iwien, where did you find it for $169?

And Iwien, I found it for $169 on Puffitup.com after some more searching. Thanks for the heads up man. But the free grinder and tight seal with the other deal is also really nice. Just wanna be sure I'm getting the real deal.

  7.
I'd get it at puffitup.   Randy, the owner, has the absolute best customer service anywhere and if you should ever have a problem with your Air, you'll really appreciate that.     If you do decide to get it from them, give Randy a holler for me.     Great guy to do business with.

  8. I am in the same predicament as you, I currently own a MFLB for my dry herb vaping needs. I am looking to pick up a pax, because I feel like on the go workplace or anywhere pax can heat up and be pretty stealthy like my mFLb while still giving me even better consistent hits with the PAX.

Now I checked out the AIR, looks reasonably sized a couple inches bigger than the PAX. My question to any of the air / solo owners how is the ABV for cooking after wards? The mflb uses almost no bud and I can still use it to cook with after the trench is done. Is this possible on other units as easy as it is on my mflb?

  9. Thanks a lot man. If I do purchase from Puffitup, I'll be sure to let Randy know to thank you for another customer. I might just end up going there too. I already do have a grinder, so I'm in no real need of another. Thanks again man

I think it just really depends on whether you wanna use it for later. If your looking to put the AVB into food, then just vape until it's brown. If not, then vape till it's dark brown, not black otherwise it's combusting (I think).
My only question for the vapes where if it vapes thoroughly. I hear the PAX does a good job at vaping evenly, so no need to shake around like the MFLB. I watched a video of the AIR and for that you just need to poke the bud around a bit.

But overall, I would say the PAX is more stealthy. Not too much vapor, really small, and not many parts to deal with.
Stealth isn't really too much of a concern for me, but I'm looking out for the smell a bit. I'm hoping to be able to vape in my room on the computer at night without it reeking. A little smell is alright, but it can't be like lighting a few bowls.

  11. I use mine until I get no more vapor and it comes out black, so at that point it won't be great for cooking with, but you could easily just take a couple hits and it would make good abv if you really want to cook with it. personally I'd rather not deal with the avb and just vape it until its done then chuck it.

  12.
I'd say it's about the same smell as the mflb, maybe a tad more since it produces more vapor and a higher rate. However, if you blow vape out the window or have a sploof  and  then stuff it in a "smelly proof" zip lock when you're finished, you should be good.

  13. Okay, that's good to hear. I've used the MFLB once before from a friend. It was alright, but I didn't like it too much. But as long as it doesn't smell like your lighting a few bowls, it's all good. Fortunately I got a window right next to my computer and bed, so that's nice. Might be useful to make a sploof too.

I hope I'm not offending your shop of choice, but can I trust PuffItUp? They have it up there for so cheap, so I'm just wondering if there's something up. I have my mind set to buy from there, so I just wanna be sure whether it's authentic or their not selling older versions.

Edit: I did some research on the company, and turns out its a great one. They have the newer models and are authentic. It just still amazed at how much cheaper it is. I'll be ordering from them soon. Thanks man

You can TOTALLY trust them.    They are an authorized dealer for everything that they sell and they sell the most recent production changes from all of the manufacturers.

Well, I ordered the Air earlier today, at 12:05 pm, and it has been shipped within 2 hours, amazing. It should be here by Friday. Again, that's great. But it's USPS, so I'm hoping for at least by Saturday, so I can enjoy it that night. I'll be coming off from a week tolerance break too. It's not a lot but it's enough to make a difference.
Anyways, I'm gonna try to put up a review as well. Can't wait to try it out. In the mean time I'll be tracking the order constantly, haha. And I let them know to thank you, Iwien, for letting me know about them. Thanks again man!
