mobb deep, lil kim, dead prez, gang starr, nas, beanie sigel, styles p, talib kweli, are NOT underground. you're just trying to promote an idea that you know more about music than anyone else. instead of that you should probably try incorporating your ideals in the 100's of other threads that talk about those artists. rap/hip hop is about progression and change, just like anything else in life. if you can't handle change, then don't. but i learned to appreciate music, and not dwell on the past. i remember/respect the past, and i hope for the future.

Rap isn't dead fool. You just heard Nas say hip hop was dead and then you just hopped on his dick with everyone else. Your shitting on the MC's who are still making real rap and rockin shows. Zion I is rockin shows, Aesop Rock is rockin shows, Hiero and Souls are rockin show, and KRS is still making new albums. I'm seein Nas on the 25th with Damian Marley, so rap is still alive. And the majority of the people you mentioned are not underground. Instead of just surfing the internet and reading hip hop is dead go out to some shows and get into some cyphers, and then you'll see rap is alive.
