So if you could choose to live in any time period in any civilization that has happened so far up to and including present day (no future!) when would you choose? And what would you do? Personally I would love to have lived during, and served in the Magellan Expedition or a similar life in that period of time. I can't imagine how mindblowing it would be to discover absolutely unknown lands. (Unknown only to the explorers of course)

Hard to say. I would love to go back to the ancient era and unify Asia as a complete powerhouse. I'd also help genghis khan fulfill his wish and obliterate all of Europe. Prevent settlers from taking the natives land in north America as well. Suddenly you cease to exist.

The last well known gangster that was able to operate in America while under government scrutiny and be all over the fronts of new papers and still function as a crime boss was probably John Gotti.
