If it is just the bulb cutting off, not the ballast, odds are the bulb may be defective. Unplug it and ensure the bulb is secure. Not too tight but nice and snug. Got a warranty? Send that shit back.

Sounds like a bad bulb. Ive seen them do that and its usually a matter of time before they shut off and wont come back on.
It seems it was the timer that was messing up. I removed it and had not had a problem since. I will leave the light on during the day for a while to make sure it was not a heat issue as it started acting up yesterday during the day.
