hey i picked up a set of t12 sunshie bulbs they are 2900 lumes and they are 5000K is this good for gowing i dont have much money so the local hardwear store is the best bet
The 5000K lights are great for your office, they'll be really nice for reading and drafting or painting, but they're not that great for growing because it does't actually cover the right spectrum of light that the plants use. It is worth your while getting them replaced for bulbs that are either 6500K (best for veg growth), or 2700K (best for flowering).

Fair enough, let me rephrase that. If you've got the option to exchange them for alternatives, it would be more effective for the types of growth I quoted, but otherwise the 5000K will work well enough.
