Is there a cheep 200 watt HPS lightbulb for growing I could get at lowes or something? I don't want a huge package or something I just want like a 10$ bulb, any help? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
The closest to that is a 250w bulb. These usually cost about £15 and to run that bulb you will need a 250w ballast (£50) and you will also need a reflector/holder (£20) to screw the bulb in to
That's like asking for a cheap £100 car, and saying that you only want seats and a steering wheel. You can, but you won't be able to drive it anywhere
It's not essential for growing but it's essential to running an HPS light. It's a part of the light. The ballast regulates the power to the bulb
