Lighting For Mother Plant, Etc.

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by stumpy69, Nov 10, 2008.

  1. I have a closet that is 2 feet deep (4' wide but I don't intend to use the entire width). 6 ft' tall (minus the 2 feet at the top that I intend to use for cloning). I want to keep a mother plant in this area & am wondering if 2 2-Foot T5 fixtures (specs say each fixture puts off 10,000 lumens - for a total of 20,000 lumens - 4 bulbs) will be adequate to light this plant & keep it healthy? Heat is an issue & that's why I opted for the T5's. I will be able to keep it ventilated to some extent but it can't be obvious. I am also planning on initially using this lighting set-up to veg some clones I just took. Will this lighting be enough for about the first 2-3 weeks or so because my flower room is full at the moment. Thanks in advance for your assistance! ;)

  2. T5's should work great!
