I just picked up a 600w HPS for vegetative growth....its all they had in 600w. And i get it home and start it up and the light bulb is humming, the ballast is humming but thats normal i hear, altho the light bulb is humming, a little bit, not that much kinda like a whisper, and its giving off a stupid amout off heat compared to my other friends 600w. i was wondering, is it because it is new? or is it something else
Its probably because your friend has a digital ballast and you bought a magnetic ballast, magnetic ballast hum and put out heat digitals dont...
