Ok so, I'm building a simple lighting fixture to improve lighting on my plants. What I want to know is, is it safe to take apart 2 lamps for their socket/cord and buy 2 Y splitters to plug into each of them to suit my 4 lights? They are 26w each. I'm very good with rewiring, and all of the "mechanical" work but I cant figure out this aspect. And will using Y splitters decrease the amount of light produced by each bulb?
