Light duration in veg over 18 and under 24?

  1. I was wondering if anyone has ever vegged in a different state than 18/6 or 24? Meaning has anyone ever tried anything in between 18 and 24? I was thinking instead of 18/6 going maybe 21/3 this would still save some energy;give some cool down time and hopefully enhance growth over typical 18/6. I was wondering if any mutations would occur? I mean if cannabis was growing in Alaska in the summer it would be subjected to sunlight longer than 18 hours so why wouldn't it work in an artificial environment? Anyone have any input on this or try it yet? Thanks for reading my first post!

  2. You can do as much light as you want, some even do 24/0. The plants would get more light and less dark so they'd probably grow quicker so it's something to look into.

  3. I read somewhere 20/4 returned the best results.

  4. i usually do my first week at 24/0, second week, 20/4, 3rd & 4th week 18/6

    but thats just me

Heard the same here. If I was in a tanning salon 24/7, I think I'd want a few hours off everyday...
