Let's talk defoliation!

Discussion in 'Plant Training' started by JonathanT, Mar 17, 2019.

  1. There are so many varying opinions on defoliation that I've read. My opinion is that it is useful depending on the situation at hand. I grow with low wattage, so i like to expose as many bud sites as possible. Outdoors tho, I tend to leave nature to do her thing. Anyone care to chat about this?

  2. Agreed. I don't hardly pull as many as you, but I do when it's necessary.
The link in my signature on the QB will show updated pic's of my canopy, which needs trimmed.....again

  5. Great looking ladies!!
I defoliate pretty heavy. Airflow and light on the buds is what I am aiming for.
It barely slows them down and I notice a increase in budding right after.

  6. Thanks! I hope to get some good input from both sides of the coin on this topic.

  7. I think how your plant is doing and how they respond to stress should also play a part in your decisions.
