the FIRST set of pointed leaves on my two week old plant have started to curl down and the two round leaves that the plant comes out of are turning yellow. the whole plant is looking shitty and about to die. im using miricle grow soil. 26 watt cfl, and its a sativa strain. the light is about 6 inches from the plant, and i have a small fan blowing fresh air from outside a couple meters away. i started feeding it 20-20-20 fert a couple days ago could this have done it? its also not expensive soil ($6 bag of miricle grow not sterilized). i dont see any bugs on my plant. any help would be apreciated
From what I've read from the forums I would guess it's the nutrients. You usually dont need to give seedlings ferts. And if you do, VERY minute amounts because they are very delicate and easily die. Take it off the nutes and let it flush. If the problems persist then you can guess it's something else but until then no more feedings. Just straight water. Hope this helps my friend happy growing!
Im guessing the plant is not very old, so you shouldnt use any nutes for the first 3 weeks after it breaks soil.... 25 watts is not enough for a plant and 6 inches is too far away, I am sure it is stretching. ( plant should be about 3 inches from light.) MIRACLE GROW BLOWS!!!! go to lowes and get 1. bag of spaghum pete moss 4 dollars. 2. bag of perlite. 4 dollars Mix these ^^ two together and you will be good on soil...
O, and those bottom round leaves are called cotyldons or some shit like that... I call them water leaves, they are supposed to get yellow and fall off, mine fell off like 2 weeks after my plant sprouted.
