  2. This looks great Bro, congratulations! Have you seen any other pics of Northern Lights leaves for comparison? I wouldn't worry much over it myself.

    DAY 22

Not a whole lot to report. The girls are definitely growing though! Hahahaha! 20160406_191731.jpg 20160406_191716.jpg 20160406_191655.jpg 20160406_191648.jpg 20160406_191639.jpg 20160406_213155.jpg And that's gotta be a good thing! I decided to top dress the pots with neem pellets to ward off any potential fungus gnat attacks. My whole room smells like neem cake now. The pellets should break down as I water the pots. I've had my share of problems with fungus gnats in the past - and I don't care to go there again, thank you very much.

At this stage I haven't yet put on my DIY carbon filters. I was kinda waiting to for the plants to start reeking. But apparently Northern Lights and Blue Mystic are very low odour plants anyway, so it will be interesting to see if the carbon filter is really needed once they start to flower.

The girls will get watered tomorrow and I will add just a few drops of Bokashi juice to the water to up the micro herd. Bokashi juice is really powerful so I have to be careful to only add a drop or two to start out.

I've been switching on my 100 watt Grow Candy LED in the evening when I get home from work. Can't leave it on all the time because the temps inside the pc just go through the roof! I turned it on and closed the case for 30 minutes as a test, and the temps got up to 40 degrees celcius! READ: 104 degrees Fahrenheit!! However, if I keep the front panel off the case with a room fan blowing on the plants from a distance, then even with the Grow Candy on, the temps stay in an acceptable range - somewhere between 27 to 30 degrees celcius. So the Grow Candy is only practical to use when I am home and keep the pc case opened.

  5. Wow, that looks great. I'm still amazed that all of this can be done in a PC case. To what height do you intend to let your plants grow? How long do you plan to veg?

  6. Awesome Kofi dawg, they look gorgeous. How you finding the look of the weird leaf shaped one? Noticed anything else or she riding it out?

I did a Northern Lights last time and she was a bit on the smelly side... Might have been my seeds though.

Can't wait for them to progress dude.

    Hells yeah, excited.

  7. Well hopefully they'll continue right up to the top, but I'll likely LST them. Matter of fact, I think I'll start some LST soon. These girls are autoflowers, so they will start flowering when they are ready - totally out of my control dude.

  8. Lol, that's right. I wasn't thinking about that. I see you are a risk taker. That makes it even more interesting. :)

  9. DAY 24

Ok, I just tied the girls down a bit. I came home from work, opened the box, and saw that Misty (Blue Mystic) has really stretched since the last two days! She is twice as tall as Norli (Northern Lights)! I tied both of them down, but was very careful not to snap the stem, so they are not LST'd as much as they could have been.

But wait! What's this?? Do I see pre-flowers forming? Do autos pre-flower so quickly?

  10. Hey Vegi dude, it turns out that the weird shaped leaves on the Northern Lights only affected the leaves on the first two nodes. All other leaves after that appear as normal! By the way, how did you enjoy the smoking effects of your Northern Lights?

  11. Autos show sex around 17-18 days, get ready for the stretch period next!

  12. This girl was tied down a couple of days ago, but look at her now - just begging for more bondage and domination! Shameless hussie!

This girl (Norli) is lagging behind Mysty in terms of stretch. Not sure if this is a normal characteristic of Northern Lights or if there is another reason??

See the difference? They popped the soil within 2 days of each other.

    Looks like pre-flowering to me!

  13. DAY 29 from seed

There is such a difference in height between Misty and Norli, I'm starting to wonder if Norli might not be stunted??? I don't know why she would be - she only got a bit of LST :confused_2:

  16. DAY 34 from seed

Okay, Misty is really stretching now. Therefore I decided to throw up the scrOG screen in order to keep her under control and away from my 100 watt grow light at the top of the server tower. Misty is well and truly into flowering stage. Norli, on the other hand, is growing much more slowly and hasn't even pre-flowered yet! I guess we have to chalk it up to different strain characteristics.

  17. Can't believe you're getting that growth from a micro grow! That's some nice stretch, shows how different strains grow differently.

    Keep it up bro,
