I was told that once you start seeing growth you must change to a bigger pot because the roots become tangled... is that true? or can i keep the babies in a cup and keep them the same size for a while? thanks
They will get rootbound eventually, but you can trim the roots and repot them in small containers for a long time. I've bonsai'd many plants over the years and have had mother plants that I kept going for several years before I finally replaced them with a clone of themself.
