Keeping my air pump on with no power

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by midgaar, Jul 19, 2008.

  1. I'm forced to move my plants for an afternoon, no longer than 18 hours and they will have no power during this time. I'm using a DWC with an air pump. How bad will this hurt my babies? Is there anyway to get the pump to run off a battery for their time in hiding? Will 18 hours with out the pump running kill my plants? It will most likely only be 8 hours but don't like the idea of moving them back inside during daylight. This will also be happening the day before I go 12/12 so lighting doesn't matter. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  2. You can get battery powered pumps at some aquarium stores. You could get a UPS for computers from a local office supply stores. Hook your pumps up to this to keep them running for awhile. I dont know how long it takes but keeping the roots with no bubbles will probably kill or significantly harm your plants if left with no bubbles for that period of time.
