I doubt it. Unless the dog were in the same room, then forget it anyway ya know; but i think dogs are really smelling the human scent left by your fingers after touching the substance.?
definitely not true. my vote is for yes, a dog's sense of smell (and especially a K-9 unit) is ridiculous, they are trained to smell even the faintest of smells.
