CLINTON — An early-morning raid at an East Main Street Shell gas station netted one of the largest drug seizures in recent history, police said. Kuntal Patel, who police believe is a member of the family that owns the business, had been packaging the drugs at his North Branford home and selling them from the gas station at 196 E. Main St., police said. In the course of executing search warrants for Patel’s home, his car, and the gas station, police said they found 2 pounds of marijuana; about $10,000 in cash; about a quarter ounce of Psilocybin, also known as hallucinogenic mushrooms; baggies, a machine to heat seal them, and scales. The 1 a.m. raid Tuesday was carried out by Clinton police with the assistance of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Madison police and their narcotics-trained canine after a lengthy investigation into reports that marijuana was being sold from the gas station, police said. Patel, 28, of 722 Forest Road, Northford, was arrested as he worked at the gas station, open for business 24 hours a day, police reported. While police searched the store, Patel repeatedly tried to deflect the investigation by lying about locations where drugs might be hidden, police said.

Hah! I'm not asking the address of your local bodega...I was just seeing if anyone else has something as convenient as I do. I came to these forums because I broke another bong last night (my third of the exact same model bong, and my fifth overall), hence the "Bongbreaker" name. FWIW, my corner-store friend actually got busted by a cop already, he was being an idiot and smoking a joint on the street corner in front of his store when a cop came by to pick up some food/drinks. He was arrested on the spot. He stopped selling for a few months, but is back to it now. He'd sell 1 gram for $20, 2 grams for $30, an 1/8th for $50, a 1/4 for $90, 1/2 for $160 and Os for $300. Not the cheapest ever, but certainly a lot better than having to commute 20 minutes each way to go to my dealer's house.

The weed at the clubs is good, but it's really expensive. $75 for an 1/8th is not unheard of! Plus, as someone who works with kids, I feel that an Rx is not a good idea, especially with the idiot DA Bonnie Dumanis going on the rampage every couple months by shutting down most of the clubs. Now if I lived in the San Francisco/Oakland area...
