Just installed my 600w HPS ... Distance Question

    I have my new 600w HPS light about 8 inches from the top of my plants, with two fans blowing, one 10" fina blowing on the canopy, and a 6" fan blowing righ under the light.

    Is this too close? It's pretty warm on the canaopy, i dont have a meter to check it ... but it doesnt seem like its too hot.

    I'd move them up to 12 inches at least. Just to be safe, it's unnecessary to have them that close
