Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by justmeagain, Sep 21, 2010.

  1. More porn when the lights come back on later today showing the sprouts under 400 watts and the seedling waiting to sprout with a T-5 to greet them :bongin:

  2. Really liking your grow so far man! I really want to see what your 400 watt veg is looking like! Because i am running a 400 watt for veg and wholy crap do they do amazing things in there under it. Are you going to be doing any Super Cropping or FIM?

    Day 12 Germination:
    Day 9 Planted:
    Day 9 Sprout:

Here is a couple more pics.

The 400 Watt HPS at work.

The 1st Pic is the whole grow so far.

The remaining 3 pics are of Rocket and her two cousins.

18"+ tall and the lights will be switched to Flowering cycle :bongin:

After taking the pics I took each plant and topped them off with some potting soil to help with the stems as a couple was stretching out and trying to grow tall for me but they was leaning over to the sides.

I plan on leaving them in the smaller pots for about 4 to 7 more days and then I am going to transplant them into 5 Gallon Planters and I hope the ladies get the hint

3 more seedlings broke soil and was added to the Harem :bongin:

The last grow I did fim and crop a couple of the plants and was not fully impressed with the outcome compaired to the couple plants that was not touched.

This grow I have aquired a light meter and going to monitor the lums at soil level thru the canopy and if I find that its not good enough I will be slightly trimming the middle to allow more light to the lower canopy and if that does not work the lower canopy will be trimmed and removed allowing the middle and upper canopy to focus on the bud sites. :bongin:

  5. i like the idea of throwing them straight into the 5 gallon planters. I worked my way up through mine as i couldnt flower immediately because i did not have my 600 watt light. Also how long do you normally wait per say if you are going to grow a plant larger then a 5 gallon bucket/pot. and which do you perfer the use of net pots or soild plastic?

  6. Also i think in order to have really good yeilds from supercropping and FIM techniques you really have to have a versitile plant that can ajust to just about any type of enviorment. At least this is just what i have experianced from my friends cali dream, purple kush, snake bite, white widdow, and his bubble skunk. I have seen all of them grown with doing nothing/topping/Supercropping. and by far they do excellent with supercropping. and i guess it all depends on how you perfer your buds i like mine like popcorn but nice size peices not to big but not to small if you catch my drift! peace out

I use the 1 gallon planter per one foot tall rule.

I decide when to flip to flowering by watching the plants height.

Most of the time I have used 2 and 3 gallon planters and the tallest plant topped out around 40 inches. This round in the 5 gallons and I want the height to be around 48 to 60 inches provided I can keep 3000 lums at soil level :bongin:

  8. Did not realize there was a 1 foot rule. my plants are in 10 gallon containers and filled out there 5 gallons soo quick its rediculous i had roots growing out the bottom of the bag when i transfered. whats so important about lumens at the soil level?

  9. I assume just so one knows if the lower branches are getting sufficient lighting. If they are not it would probably be better just to chop them to allow more energy to the top of the plant. I'm thinking about chopping my bottom two side branches as well although this is just my first grow and am not sure yet.

Sorta my rule to go by :bongin:

  11. Thats how I feel about the lower branches, not enough bud without good lumes, and by chopping the lower will allow the plant to grow the buds bigger at the tops :bongin:

I missed that in the last post.

If I can get 3000 Lumens at soil level then I know the light is getting thru the top canopy to the bottom and will allow the plant to (hopefully) fully mature and yield alot of weight. :bongin:

  13. Subscribed to your new grow. Can't wait to see this one.

 For some reason I don't seem to like doing things twice the same way

So I decided to do some Internet surfing and found a 400 Watt MH Bulb that has a 7200K (Super Blue) Light Spectrum and decided to invest some money in one to see how it would do with some plants in the Veg Cycle. :D

Now I sit waiting for it to be delivered :(

From my reading of the MH bulb its suppose to cause the plant to have the nodes closer together and create tighter buds :smoke:

I forgot to mention in the last grow that when I switched bulbs from MH to HPS I dropped the MH bulb on the way to the closet and broke the damn thing.

Thats why this grow I am currently useing the HPS Bulb for Sprout/Veg cycle and ordered the new MH Bulb.

7200K is going to be kick ass for the ladies when it gets here and turned on :bongin:
