im on boonie 56k connection and rarely get a connection better than 35kbps and i dont have a problem with pics and sigs loading, i was just wondering if it was the same with anyone else, i know cottons said he doesnt. just voicing my opinion.
I got you beat. at home were supposed to 56 K. I rarely see it higher than 21, usually 13 to 14. That's why you don't see me here except when I'm at work.
It's not only a matter of single users being able to load pages quickly, it's how much the computer server has to work while a million people are trying to load pages. It's not just about your computer, it's about the main server as well.
a have a grandma modem.. my grandma runs the packets of information from the server back to my house. granted, its pritty slow. bout 5k packets per picture..lets just say grandma gets a good workout
also, i tend to forget we have asssssloads of people here..i was wondering if we could do anything about all the inactive user names if that could possibly free up some space, or help anything out...say usernames that have less than X number of posts, and have been inactive for X number of months.
