Im looking around for Jiffy Pea Pots that break apart in soil when you transplant them so i dont have to worry about something going wrong putting the plants into bigger pots. How big should the pots be for seeds and before i transport them into bigger pots? I found some pretty small ones, prob. 2 1/4 across the top and then probably like 4 inches tall. Is that too small?
i've used them and they work but they dry out quickly and the roots will start growing through in no time. when i started seeing the roots i tranplanted.
Isn´t that the idea?? To transplant you just bury the peat pot in a larger pot and the roots just grow through the peat into the fresh soil.
