Seriously I have tried to show these types of documentaries to people and they shrug it off like "that is just negative." "those are all lies." "yeah right." Truth is there is a lot of crap in conspiracy theories including zeitgeist. But also there is a lot more nefarious stuff going on behind the scenes of our world and it gets touched upon ONLY in circles that deal in conspiracy.

I love the Zeitgeist movie because is contains one of the best visualizations of the great cycle I've seen. In response to it's claims that Christianity is a copied myth, I'd like to point out that all the great knowledge of the solar alignments and the great cycle was passed from God to Adam. Since all men are descendants of Adam it is no surprise to see the same stories morphed and spread through out the world. God is the one who hung the stars in the sky and set them in motion and this is why this story of salvation is being displayed in the stars. The film makes incorrect assertions about the Bible as well. There is a great portion of scripture regarding the "Great and Terrible day of the Lord" known as the end times or the 70th week of Daniel. There are 8 times as many references to the second coming of Christ as there are his first coming; literally thousands of them. The Bible prophesies not only Christ, but aslo the entire New Testament and much much more. The four Gosples are foreseen in Eziekiels description of the cheribum with four faces. This is the four presentations of Christ in the Gosples. Mathew presents Christ as the Lion of the tribe of Judah (Lion); Mark presents him as the suffering servant (Ox); Luke the Son of Man (Man), and John the Son of God (Eagle). There are many passages through out the Bible such as the water bearer in Luke 22:10. I'm most interested in the return of Christ to rule here on Earth. There are over 1845 references in at least 17 books in the OT alone regarding this event. A lot of people think it's "time", not just Christians. I agree with you that it would be some coincidence that for thousands of years mankind lived basically the same simple life style but here in the last 100 years we have developed the technology to facilitate Armageddon. I feel that so many societies have similar prophecies because they all have similar origins and the information has been handed down since the beginning. I do not see the world ending either; just a profound change, in effect the ending of the old world and the beginning of a new one. If you guys have not seen this, it is well worth checking out. It is pretty strange how these events seem to eerily mimic Satan being cast from heaven in Rev 9.

As much as I'd rather deny it, I agree. It's just too bad things have got to get so bad first. That's not my take on it at all... God punishes us for following Satan first. And Jesus' anger will be fully directed at him/them. But he takes care of business in a hurry, then the era of Peace and Love.
