Is this weed okay to smoke?

Hey guys. I got a question to ask. I got 4 strains of weed, two of them (Legend OG and Wedding Crashers) are months old, one is only like a month old (Gorilla Glue), and Purple Punch is the most recent. I bought the Wedding Crashers in late October 2019, so it's like six months old. I got pictures of them for comparison. The Purple Punch smells like grape candy. The others don't have much of a smell or have a different kind of smell. Can you tell me if the strains excluding the Purple Punch still look good enough to smoke? I looked at them and I couldn't see any mold, but they are kinda dry.

  2. Is there an expiration Date on it?

  3. The only expiration date I got is for the Wedding Crashers (10/7/2020). The Gorilla Glue just has a harvest date (11/01/2019) and a packaged date (11/19/2019), which is funny because I'm pretty sure I got the Gorilla Glue like a month ago. I think I got the Legend OG back in November 2019. I'll wait for more replies.

Yeah, I knew someone would say that. :)
That's probably the best way to know if it's still good or not.

  8. Just realized that I bought the Wedding Crashers back in late October 2019. Thing is 6 months old. Holy shit. Well, I guess that taught me a lesson. Never buy weed if you don't intend on finishing all of it or smoking it at all.

  9. As long as it wasn't exposed to moisture it should be fine. I've had shake and small buds in jars for over a year and finally got around to cleaning them out and it smoked just fine. Over time the THC may start to degrade some but it shouldn't be enough that you would really notice.

  10. Its fine, some people cure buds for 6 months before smoking. And most weed in my experience is good for a really long time so long as its sealed up, and started out good. Thats dispensary though, so its definetly still good.

You know something? I take it back. The old weed's got it! (insert Ryder meme)

Wow, I was not expecting for the old weed to still be potent like that. I made a king size joint with some Legend OG and mostly Wedding Crashers (first time making a king size). It's still strong. Another thing I noticed is before I grinded it all up, I could hardly smell anything. But when I made the joint, I could really smell the dankness in the joint.

  14. I've had some strains stored through some months that started getting old, they had loosen all the trichomes but still got us high. If it's healthy habit is highly questionable, since some people point out that the plant in one of it's decomposition stages releases ammonia which is not a good thing.

  15. Nothing wrong with 6 month old weed as long as its stored properly. Many of us growers cure weed for several months and then store it for even longer.

  16. Yeah, and to think I was getting ready to throw this stuff out. I would have thrown out perfectly good weed.

  17. Yeah bro lol, I've had harvests last me a entire year until the next harvest. Taste and smell may change over that period of time a little but high is just the same. Just stored in a dark cool closet.

  19. Dude that looks totally fine. I think you can still get some good bowls.

I've smoked weed A LOT older than that before and I've still gotten good highs and didn't get bad side effects. Trust me, what I saw in those pics looks a lot better than when I smoked the older weed. I doubt you're going to get anything bad from it.

If you want to be cautious just to play it safe, maybe just take a hit or two and see how you feel and go from there. That's what I would do if I was suspicious about what I got.
