Is this a fair assumption?

  1. Politicians that don't push for legalizing/decriminalizing cannabis are either:

    1. Evil

    2. Ignorant

    Thoughts?

Read Ron Paul's Politicizing Pain he wrote today.

  2. 3. Out of touch

  3. No, that's not a fair assumption. They may realize that it's not dangerous or a scourge on society, but for a lot of politicians it would be career suicide to run for major office with legalization/decriminalization as a goal.

  4. Couldn't it be considered evil to knowingly allow the destruction of innocent lives for the purpose of your own personal gain?

Maybe while they are campaigning I could see them keeping quiet, but once you are elected you have a moral duty to uphold.

  5. I where you're coming from on this, and generally agree with you, but a person's going to have to do worse things to be evil in my book (e.g. Bush, Hitler)

  6. Stop comparing Bush to Hitler, the two were nothing alike.

  7. No, it isn't a fair assumption.

Who's to say they can't be both :p

  8. I didn't mean to compare the two. I was merely saying that both fall under my definition of evil.
