i read and know the sig rules alright, but i have not idea if mine is to large or not or if its permitted?can sum1 tell me? thought this might be usefull for multipul people to ask about there sig image if they arnt sure about the size or w.e, after seeing that post by hempress and my fax... thanx.
Every time I had a sig too big, a mod would come in and edit or somethin cause I\'d get a message there instead of my sig telling me the size requirements. I\'m not sure what they are, maybe 300x100 pixels? Whatever mine is should be damn close to the limit. Edit: I just checked mine and it is 300x100. I believe that is the size limit. 1234 posts
wait, my image cant have words in it!? i thought the words in my sig where part of the image.... i dont know how to figre out how big it is or anything either sorry

I think yours is fine it says it\'s 300px x 125px, 17.23 KB ...so that\'s within the limits. Also the text is part of the image so from my meager understanding of the rules that\'s ok.
(not that I care) you\'re right yours is 300px x 100px. But it\'s 47.15 KB (for just the image) and it\'s got text and an image together. but it looks good
Yes, yours is fine, burnttwaffle. I also wanted to add that I won\'t consider smilies as an image in anyone\'s sig. Text and smilies are acceptable. But text and other images are not.
Ya know, you guys could just send the person a PM before removing their signature so that they have time to save the image...
Does PMing someone really take longer than going into ModCP, removing the sig, and pasting the rule into their signature space?
So just a question. If someone has a picture and any text its not allowed but someone can have 6 quotes of random bullshit in their sig?
Some of us were backpacking at 14,000 feet and believe it or not .... there is no internet when your on top of a mountain 150 miles from civilization. So maybe a PM might have been helpful or maybe you could have checked when a user last logged in to see if they had a chance to read your sticky. But then again who gives a fuck its not like my sig had a helpful link in it that helped many people not post stupid threads clogging up the forums And this. Because thats SOOOOOO much more helpful to the community than someone who wants to have a picture and a few words to aid new smokers....
Ok...I\'m ending this thread. Everyone has access to the rules to know the requirements for a signature. If you lose your sig, then you obviously violated the sig rules...therefore, it\'s on you...not me, a Super Mod or a Mod. It\'s a signature. Period. How about from here on out, when you violate the sig rules, you just lose your sig rights....forever? Or, how about a perm ban? I know...ridiculous, right? Just like it\'s ridiculous to cry over a sig removal. Follow the rules and you\'re good. No crying over anything. SJ has the regulation size for a reason. Just follow it. By the way....here\'s the sig regulation rules: Signature Limits: All signatures should not exceed the following size limits and you can\'t have both text and images. Text Signatures: 4 lines normal size OR 8 lines small size and up to 90 chars per line. Font sizes above 2 are not allowed. For images in signatures: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 125 pixels tall and 20k in size.
