is my plant stunted?

    a bout 3 weeks old, it seems really stunted. 6 cfls, 4 5500k 27 watt, 1 2700k 26 watt, 1 5000k 14 watt. soil medium. let me know if more info is needed also, the undersides of my leaves are purple, i dont know if thats bad or not.

    What soil is that? Looks pretty chunky, I hope it's not miracle grow. What's your ph?

    its loam from my yard, the Ph around is 6.4 last time i checked

    I'd suspect the soil is the issue....looks compacted with poor drainage. Using outdoor soils isn't generally recommended. Did you at least sterilize the soil before using? If not, that's a recipe for pest issues.....

    hmm thats no good. should i transplant it into better soil?

    I would. Do some reading on better soils....lots of info on the site. The medium in which you grow is one of the most important factors, and isn't an area to skimp on.

    I would and then water and leave it alone for a few days. What's your light cycle?
