Those look like node calyxes. Male balls have little stalks that seperate them from the plant, calyxes are flush with the stem. Keep an eye on it if you're worried but doesn't look like a hermie at all. "Hey baby, I hear the blues a-callin' Tossed salad and scrambled eggs.."
