Is my cool tube getting enough light to the outside of the plants?

  1. I have a 400W HPS/MH Grow going, around 5 weeks. The cool tube does great at keeping my temps down but it seems like the light is concentrated to the center. I have 3 plants kinda squished together to try to share the light. Do you think this is good enough for them?

The tent is a 2x3x5 tucked into a small closet

  3. Thanks. The third one is behind the other two. It's a but shorter and bushier for some reason.

Cooltubes have a terrible light spread, scrog or any other training would help a lot here. Air-cooled hoods are much better at spreading light than cooltubes.

edit: try using your rope ratchets with the ratchet end connected to the light so that when you release the catch, you can lower your light without dropping it (since you'll be gripping the ratchet) and when you raise the light there's less force on the mounts.

  6. Cool tube does a great job at keeping my temps down for sure.

I went ahead and ordered a hood to expermiment with the light spread.

I really dont see how it would be a big difference in a sealed air cooled hood vs a cool tube. We'll see.
