Is my 600w HPS close/far enough from canopy?

  1. I have 6 plants in flower right now, but wanna get the most out of my lights range, its air cooled, so temps aren't an issue.

What's a good distance to have my light above the canopy in my 4x4 tent?
I wanna make sure the outsides of my plants are getting adequate light coverage too.

Can anyone offer me some good advice, grasscity has yet to let me down!

    Cheers!

  2. I keep my plants close to each other and put the light as close as I can where my hand is comfortable at plant top. If I see sights of heat stress on the middle highest branches I move it up just slightly.
In my opinion looks kinda like a lot of plants for a 600. Or a lot of foliage. But I could be wrong. Pics don't tell the whole story all the time. Is your under side shaded? Any lower bud sites not getting light?

  3. It looks like it could probably go a little closer, but that it would take away light from the edges.

To maximize your yield here, I would lollipop those plants (removing bottom 30% of growth, directing energy to the tops); it looks like you're at the first week or two of switching to 12/12 so now would be the time to do it.

  4. I will take your guys' advice, thanks so much!!

    Cheers!!
