Is it possible to run a 1000w hps light on dc power?

    im starting to plan for some future grows and was just wondering if it is possible to run a 1000w hps light from a dc power source? and if so how would i go about doing it, well any input would be greatly appreciated and thanks ahead of time

    I guess you could use a rectifier and a transformer, but what’s the point?
